As part of RRF’s grant process, a brief Letter of Inquiry (LOI) must be submitted via our online grant portal prior to submitting a full proposal. This process will save the substantial time and effort organizations might invest in developing full proposals that ultimately are not closely aligned with RRF’s guidelines, funding priorities, and/or strategic approach.
Submit LOI by: For the Following Proposal Deadline:
November 1 February 5
February 1 May 5
May 1 August 5
LOIs will be accepted no later than 11:59 PM (CT) of the deadline day. If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, proposals and LOIs will be accepted as late as 5:00 PM (CT) the following workday.
Please note, RRF’s eligibility criteria differs by project type. Some projects are limited to Illinois (Direct Service, Organizational Capacity Building), whereas others require a national reach (Advocacy, Professional Education, Research), if not in Illinois.
