ACCESSIBLE FAITH GRANT PROGRAM
(Funding for Accessibility Improvements
in Chicago Area Houses of Worship)

The Accessible Faith Grant Program is closed for 2008.  However, an additional $300,000 in funding will be available in 2009.  Please check our website in December for an announcement of application dates and procedures.

Through the Accessible Faith Grant Program, the Foundation makes funds available to Chicago area houses of worship for accessibility improvements to their facilities.  Such improvements should allow increased participation of older adults in the programs, services, and activities that occur in the facilities.

This year, the maximum grant amount is $30,000.  Grants will be awarded for up to 50% of a project's total cost.  In 2008, there were two deadlines: Friday, April 11 and Friday, June 27Grant award notification is made approximately five months after each deadline date with funding available one month after notification.  At this point, we expect the grant amount and the program itself to remain the same in 2009.

The following materials from the 2008 program will help inform you about funding under the Retirement Research Foundation's Accessible Faith Grant Program, but you will need to use new documents posted in December for submitting an application in 2009.
